Virtual Campfire

Thank you so much for applying to appear on The Virtual Campfire. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to make this happen, and I want to make sure it's valuable for you.

So that you know what to expect, please check out the following:

  • The style of the podcast is conversational.
  • We will record for between 30-45 minutes, and we will use the Zoom platform.
  • If you have a podcast microphone setup and are used to recording interviews, great! If you don't, here are four ways to get the best sound to help us make sure the show makes for enjoyable listening.
    • Where possible, please make sure you are in a quiet environment. It's super helpful if you can stay away from noisy fans, open windows, open-plan offices. Please also make sure you have all your devices (computer/phone) off or set to silent!
    •  Rooms with soft furnishings are better than corridors or offices with hard walls and floors where sound can bounce around. It avoids you sounding like you're stuck in an echo chamber!
    •  Rather than using the in-built microphone on your computer, it's better to use the in- built microphone in the headphones that probably came with your smartphone. If you don't have any, it'd be great if you can borrow some.
    •  Please make sure you have a strong WiFi signal where you are. We'll make sure to test everything before we start the official interview.

We will focus on the core lessons and themes that emerge as you share your transformation journey. Please let me know if there's anything we need to avoid talking about.

Here's what we'll also look to cover:

  • What were the defining pivot moments in your life or career?
  • What was the flashpoint in your story that revealed your calling or your gift to the world? What pain or challenge ultimately got you to step into action?
  • What was the mindset shift you had to make to change your situation?
  • What was the most challenging part for you as you continued in your journey? If you could give advice to your younger self, what would it be?
  • What is the message or lesson that you would tell people who are going through a similar challenge?
  • Where can listeners discover more about you?

I will let you know when the episode is due to go live, so you can announce it and share it with your followers.

I will also be sure to share show notes with you so that you can repurpose them for your own content marketing.

Thank you again, and please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to speaking with you!
